Roadster Owners : Half Covers

I bought a 1/2 cover from UK custom covers for £59, ordered from their website rather than ebay as I think the postage works out a bit cheaper. Had it about six weeks and put it on every night or all the time the Zed is parked on the driveway. There are a number of trees around which drop leaves and crap all over the hood and I've been worried it will drop down and block the drain holes.
Cover has been excellent, there's a large beaded strip at the back which gets trapped inside the bootlid, front is held in place by the wipers and each side has Velcro straps around the door mirrors and magnets within the cover along the door tops. The hood stays pristine, cover comes with a bag and takes less than a minute to fit. Would recommend, although obviously wouldn't use on a wet hood. For the price it's as cheap as chips and gives piece of mind for the protection it offers.

Just ordered a custom covers one. Looks easy to put on and worth the money to protect the top and interior. Thanks for info.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering what on earth every one was talking about. Never seen one of those before. :?

An earlier thread on ½ covers recommended those made by Buzz and he still has some in stock. I have been in contact with him and been told to go to eBay and use the Buy-it-Now feature on the Z3 covers on there and make a note in the message that it's for a Z4 in order to buy one. I have gone ahead and ordered mine which should be here early next week.

Link to the Z3 cover is here

any news on this DLH?

Attaches firmly and very easy to put on, the only thing I would say is that a cover should only be applied to a dry roof so if your roof is already wet then its a pretty pointless exercise to put one on because you are just giving a warm damp breading ground for mould.

I have contacted the above company to see if they would be interested in a group buy, i will let you know on this thread if they are interested :)

Yes, it has now arrived and is sturdy enough and slightly 'generous' in its cut but easy enough to fit and does the job.

My Buzztop has arrived and is currently fitted (came to work in the 3 series today).

It also has a 'new and improved' magnet system as well to keep things secure.

For the money, it's great and will keep the frost and muck off the hood in the winter.

Appreciate you probably get what you pay for and the cabrioshield maybe better but this seems like a good solution that's easy to fit and well made.

Buzz (Richard) is a really nice guy and still doing the forum deal if anyone is interested.

I ordered the uk custom cover one today hopefully it will arrive over the next few days, thanks for the advice guys :)
