Road trip ideas with 1 year old?

So I'm designated parent tomorrow and need to entertain my one year old who also needs sleep at 3pm.

Want to take the Zed out so thinking I'll do a little road trip somewhere not to far. So far I'm thinking tour of the city or hack down into wilds of Kent.

Any suggestions? Leaving around 1pm and need to be back by 4:30pm.

If you're down Maidstone way in the afternoon and fancy a pit stop give me a call. Probably got some Wee Bing taxiing to do but can work around that

(Will be out until about 1230 at rugby)

...or, go cheer Ruby up in West London - I am sure she'd love the distraction of Mini inkey$ :D

Shame you're not closer to me Inks. They've just opened a play barn & meet the Meerkats place here.
I need a child to get me in there!

Not much help, sorry.

Worth saying I have no idea what toddler amusements are in Maidstone, but there is a huge park with a lake and ducks :D

Thanks for suggestions. My options just became limited as I've spent 20 minutes trying to squeeze a Bugaboo Cameleon into the boot of the Zed and its about 30mm too wide. I've been saying we need to get a smaller pushchair for age,s but that suggestion seems to have been largely ignored! Anyway, looks like it will be a short blat around the block instead now.

Cannot fault your logic, Sir.

why take a pushchair, the roadster is a pram :)

Forget wheel refurbs Inkey
You need to invest in some decent infant tackle http://uppababy.com/vista/overview/

Damn - mrs b would have cleaned the house if you were coming down :x

Sorry the house is still a mess then Bing.

Ended up queuing for the Blackwall Tunnel before heading into town, crossing Tower Bridge and back through Bermondsey, Deptford and Greenwich before an afternoon of stacking toys and shape sorters.

Mini-Inkey$ had fun though I think. Took this when we got back.

He looks like WB did right after filling his nappy - inordinately pleased with himself

I made her clean the house anyway :whip:

Ah Inkey$ he's just the cutest! Always looks so happy :)

Thanks Ruby. Yeah he's usually pretty chilled out and happy; unless he doesn't get what he wants....again, very much like his old man
