Road recommendations

Hi guys and girls.
Tomorrow I will be heading home after a little break near Oswestry, so instead of taking the motorway back I thought I would take in some good A/B roads.
I’ll be heading across country, Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Crewe, Macclesfield, Buxton, Glossop areas and through the snake pass, back to Wakefield, short notice but can anyone recommend a few decent roads to take in.

Just had a look at the map, the A5004 sound interesting, it’s been voted the seventh most dangerous road in Britain
