Road Noise left and right found( i think)

On motorways with the Top Up, there’s a distinct noise of tyres and other components. I’m certain it’s coming from the box where the roof motor used to be, resonating. I’m considering adding some Kilmat or equivalent.

What are everyone’s thoughts?

Im going to check and bite the bullet and dynmat the inside of the roof wells at the same time as the doors.

Must admit, I’ve removed the bungs on day one of every zed I’ve owned and have never noticed any real change in road noise levels.
However, in a RHD car I am on the opposite side to the deeper roof motor well so it could indeed be acting as a resonator.
Remember the roof does still drain through there so is it a good idea to put anything in there that could absorb and retain water?

Yes thats the impression that its a resonator?

Can't you just put the drain bungs back in again, or is it because the roof motor being removed has left a big noisy hole? Has the back box been removed as this seems to create more resonating? It might be the tyres, some seem noisier than others.
