Road Legal?

I have the Zed booked in at the bodyshop and are dropping it off this afternoon (bonnet and front bumper stone chip rash) - to help I have removed the bumper but refixed the reg plate temp with zip cables on the impact bar.

This may be an over sight on my part but is the vehicle likely to be of interest to Mr Plod in this condition??

Thanks for your thoughts. I have secured the wheel arch liners and underside engine panel. Everything is secure after removing the bumper. Cable ties do not obscure reg plate.

This gives me also an opportunity to refurb these misty fogs.

Have a 1.5 mile journey but concede if I'm not legal - distance isn't an excuse

To be safe why dont you remove the bumper in the bodyshop? Takes 10 minutes, and all you need is a socket set + phillips screw driver.

The impact bar is quite sharp on the ends though and could be classed as a hazard?

That's the real issue. Hazzard in the event of impact with a pedestrian.
bottom line is the chances of being seen are slim, but if spotted you'd be 90% certain to be stopped or at least attract interest.

are you likely to pass anyone who would care?
do you need to drive down a busy place like a high street where the likely hood of a crash is high?
do you need to use a motorway or something like that?

if no then f**k it. just get in be slow and very careful its only 1.5miles as you say. you see loads of cars with broken bumpers, crash damage, bits hanging off, bull bars and that sort of s**t floating round the city.

im not saying its the best thing to do all the time but you see all sorts of stuff on the road.
