Reading about Rita Ora and her lockdown birthday party on the BBC website and saw this photo of the restaurant. Any of you lot parked outside? :) Z4.jpg

Im sure its someone from here rubbing shoulders with a fit millionaire pop star :D just a normal weekend for most of us

She holed up in a farmhouse near us during the 2nd lockdown. Her security detail got very uppity when people stopped on the public footpath that ran past the front of the house to take photos (just the house not RO) . They didn't seem to understand that there is no law stopping you doing that. Had a right old slanging match with one woman who demanded I delete the photos. I might have mentioned it to some friends who might have wandered past themselves, although many commented they'd never heard of her  If she had let me pass without comment no one would have been any the wiser as I wouldn't have bothered to find out who was there 20200810_133722-01.jpeg

She obviously has taste with a house like that. Would love to have been pulled by her security about taking photos. Love putting people like that in their place. Even had a discussion with a Jehovah's witness who gave up and went away willingly.

She obviously thought she could intimidate me into moving on so we had a good old barney about what my rights were. It was hilarious really - at one point she said "footpaths are for walking not for taking photos" :o The public footpath had actually been diverted some years ago as it used to go through the back garden but the owners installed a pretty footbridge over the pond and that's where it now goes. Makes a perfect platform for taking photos :D

Nice house tho.. Cotswolds?

Yes it's a stunning house and location on the edge of the Cotswolds

The perfect place to haul up and get away from it all.

Apart from the public foot path running past. :D

I wonder who booked that one for her.

It did create quite a stir locally and even made it into some national papers .....

That bridge would cost a small fortune.Looks good though, which area in the Cotswolds is it?

Yes, I imagine it did. Its near a village called Alderley in Gloucestershire. The footpath has become a lot more popular since its publicity

Looks a great area. Looking to have some long weekends down that way when we can seeking out places we would like to move to. Looking forward to driving around the West Country with the top down visiting pretty villages and country pubs. Oh and the odd estate agent.

Not visited that end of the Cotswolds, lived in Moreton in Marsh for a few years and still love the area, pop down to visit friends in Chipping Camden regularly

A magical area. We stayed in a B&B pub a few years ago, great Saturday night, hearty breakfast and then spent Sunday in Chipping Camden.
I work for the local water authority, so spend quite a lot of time in the Cotswold's
