RIP Jonah Lomu

The Legend
 Exiled Scot in Maidstone
A giant of a man, in all senses of the word, arguably one of the greatest rugby players of all time. 40 years old is no age at all, taken way too soon. RIP :-(

He was absolutely amazing to watch. I always got excited going to a game where he was in the team.

Such a sad loss considering he was supposedly fit and healthy despite his kidney problem and had just returned from Holiday yesterday.

Two young kids have lost an amazing father, his wife her husband and the world and complete legend and true gent.

40 is no age at all and brings home again how fragile life can be.

RIP

Shocking news this morning - fantastic memories of watching him play, especially rolling over Rory Underwood in 1995 :)

Thats a great compilations video markeg. Just how I remember him, teflon coated man mountain with a bit of gazelle.

RIP.

Can't imagine there was anything scarier as a rugby player than having Jonah Lomu bearing down on you at full chat.

Truly sad news. There are a lot of "legends" about, but very few sportsmen reach "mythical" status while they're still playing. Maybe Sachin Tendulkar... Pelé perhaps. Lomu was definitely one of them - you could really see the fear in other players when he was on the pitch.

I remember him appearing on the scene, probably back in the 90's. There are more his size in the game now, but in his time he was a freak, in the nicest possible way. RIP
