Another one gone sadly.
Only Geoff Hurst left from '66 now.

Yet another victim of dementia it seems, but then 86 is a decent age.

RIP Sir Bobby

Just noticed. Same day as Nelson, so he's in good company.
Blimey how old was Nelson? I presumed he 'bought the harp farm' a looong time ago!

Philistine!
21/10/1805, Battle of Trafalgar

Did you know they buried a lot of the sailors in Gibraltar but they put Nelson in a barrel of rum to preserve his body until they got him home

Sir Bobby, a typical old school gentle man. RIP

Can't believe with him and his brother coming from just a few miles 'up the road' Sunderland scouts didn't pick them up as kids.

At least they are together again

For awhile I lived near Jack Charlton in North Yorkshire. On one occasion I nipped into a parking space just ahead of him in Gt Ayton. I must say he had a fine command of Anglo Saxon swear words!
