Rim protection

Being a newbie and about to put F1s all round, I've heard you guys talking about rim protection. I have 108s on.

F1s should have enough mm protection. Vreds would kill your rims in any 'sloppy parking' scenario but with F1s you should be fine.

My friendly garage guy, has just informed me that his supplier recommends 255 35 R18 on the rear. Whats the advice here please.
Ive asked for his argument for this recommendation. :headbang:

Def stick to 255/35 on the rear.... If you want any rim protection dont stretch the tyre on the wider rim.

The rears are a wider wheel / tyre. This is the standard tyre size for the rear.

225/40 front
255/35 rear

Just to be clear :D

Another option is Michelin PS3s - they also provide good protection.

My ZZ5 Avons have rim protection. Not that I've ever used it. I can park :poke:
