Right....

I do Aldi in the Z. I always pick one of two spots that are usually free, on the end of a row, parking against or slightly over the farthest white line away from the next car.

its where the middle classes apparently shop these days

I hear they even sell whole lobster!

I always take the zed to Aldi, correctly pronounced Al as in the man's name and Dee as in the woman's name. In Germany everyone shops there regardless if socioeconomic background. In Market Harborough Aldi shares a carpark with Waitrose and Lidl, pronounced Lee as in man's name and Dell as in computers, is just over the road.

Oh that has to be the posh southern version 'all dee' Its definitely 'Ahl Dee' up here. Lidl is more 'Lih duhl' though.

Now try Karcher :)

I did not know what someone said the first time I heard it in English

Or Ikea, Nestle and so on ...

I go to Asda (that's AZ-DAH for the semi educated) every week in my zed, no probs. There is an area of the car park (furthest from the entrance) where the beemers, mercs and porkers park. Everybody is very considerate.

I've been in the local Tesco a couple of times recently, each time there has been a silver E85 taking up two spaces, parked right on top of the line.

Mrs B just did the shopping in Aldi this morning, but she doesn't take the Z. Popular place nowadays, and even though she has to go to Morrisons for some bits Aldi don't have, our weekly shopping bill is now 25-30% less than it used to be when just using Morrisons. With no noticeable drop in quality either

Apparently the staff are lower quality down here though - they treat my Chinese wife (who speaks very good English and has lived here for 14 years) like an immigrant who doesn't understand the lingo & are they are really quite curt / rude. Winds her right up :x

I'm back safe and sound. Sun's out and its 'warm'. No door-dinkers or trolley-twatters about so all's good.

Maniac, they are my parking tactics also.

Ranski, us middle classes don't do Lobster, it's Beluga all the way deah.

Diz, it's Al-dee where I come from.

Bing, she should speak to them in her best posh English accent. Silly buggers.

Edit. Bonus, they've got the Christmas marzipan in. :D

They'd only do it once mate, after which they'd be nursing their bleeding nose and tenderised bollocks
