Rieger anyone?

Hi guys,

Was just wondering if anyone in here has ever seen or had the Rieger body kit? At the moment I am waiting for the local dealer to give me a quote on the M bumper, but I would like your opinion on this one.

I like to be different once in a while, as long as it still looks good!

I have a Rieger bodykit on an Audi A3. It fits pretty good, but could have been better. I would give it an 8.

Regarding the kit on the Zed...I personally don't like it that much...I would go for an M bumper if it was my car. But that's just my personal oppinion :|

The fog lights look a bit weird, but I like the way the bumper takes the original lines. The sides skirts are ok too...

Just doesn't 'look BMW' in the styling, so no, too aftermarket for me

Think the fog lights are too big, and the front over-fussy. If you remove the extra swoop, looks nicer IMO (I've altered it in the image below on the left to show what I mean).

I'd leave them both as they catch both lines off the wing and the light, but perhaps remove the fog lights and replace with ///M-esque air scoops. Or perhaps fit facelift fogs...

is the colour merlot?
because I really like it.

the body kit is a bit too angular fro me. I would prefer something that accentuates the weirdness that is zed.

Colour looks Merlot, but a hazed/grey looking Merlot :?

The kit - no likey... the lines on the front bumper I don't like. As ranski says, bit too far from BMW styling for my liking.

BTW - there's no BMW badge on the front, is that normal with after market bumpers, or is there a "sticky" applied later?

i'd remove the inner thingy, not the outer one... :)

Agree with you on that one. With the outer one removed there is too much empty space! Thx for the pic markeg.

Yet, I am not going to get a new bumper and start cutting in it!

Skirting looks good though guys!?!

Careful with the bumpers...they won't fit perfectly on your car. If you're a perfectionist (like me :P ) it's gonna drive you crazy to see that the gaps between the fenders and the bumper are of different sizes...and that's what you're gonna look at everytime you look at the car

that looks very halfords modified citroen saxo 16v style to me tbh. just looks bulky and chavvy.

each to their own though, everyones different.

One thing I don't understand is how come aftermarket front bumpers, aero kits cost so much.
Wouldn't you think that somewhere there would be a small manufacturer that could churn out something acceptable and reasonable.

Something about the Rieger just doesn't sit right with me.
The lower splitter looks fine.
Not sure why the fog lamps need 'eye lids' above and below.
Then we get to the mouth. With two sets of teeth directing air into the gullet.
Like why 2 on each side ? Wouldn't one be better cause that way there is more opening in front of the rad.
With 4 all you get is more obstruction and less efficiency..
So the too toothy front serves no real purpose as far as I can see.

Cheers
John

rieger is not my kit to go with, otm i'm looking at a Hamann frontbumper, ( stil gonna cost me 1100 euro's ) like that one much more and is verry unique in holland. i'm waiting until the autum/winter to buy it an put it on, because then my car is in a clean and dry garage.

Thx for the feedback guys. Guess the M bumper is the way to go!

Hope I will be able to make it a reality this coming Summer! Thanks again to all.
