Ride height?

So after been on here for a couple of months and getting to know the car (and many thanks for your input guys/gals) just looking at the newbie sections I have a query.

When I bought the car there was no receipts for any suspension mods and to me the car doesn't look like it has any - fair enough.

Now being a "chubby" 50 year old I don't feel the need to go lower however I think the stance is just wrong.

I'm happy with the front tyre to bumper gap but the rear looks way to high.

Any pointers?

TIA

At a guess the springs snapped and the replacements are the SE ones.

As you say, it looks too high.

Thanks!

So what springs should I be looking at getting?

I had a Bilstein B12 kit fitted this week, and it's sorted my rear arch gap perfectly. A lot of people say the kit is too stiff, but that's certainly not my experience.

bit of a price difference between £80 oem springs and a £600ish uprated kit

stick a couple of bags of spuds in the boot jock, problem solved, and if you need to raise it, have a bag of chips

Be careful which ones you order off ebay etc. They tend to be a bit vague with which models they fit, saying they fit all zeds, which they actually do fit, but they aren't the exact ones as there are differing spring rates etc. The correct Suplex ones for the rear in M Sport spec for a 2.5 or 3.0i/si are 06231. Suplex have an online catalogue, its definitely worth checking before ordering.

I bought these Suplex springs for my 3.0i. £83 inc. postage for the pair and they will check them against your number plate if you want:

I think they're the incorrect part number? 06231 are msport

[ref]philbo909[/ref] there was some to and fro with my ebay order with the supplier. I originally ordered the ones that automatically came up for the 3.0i, but they messaged me to advise that I'd chosen the wrong ones. They double checked and said I needed to order the different, lower ones because the 3.0i had the lower sports suspension. I put faith in their knowledge...hopefully I wasn't wrong :? I'll have a look back at the part numbers.

[ref]philbo909[/ref] it does rather look as though you're right. The supplier's own eBay auctions still disagree with the item they told me I needed :?

Car currently sits like this. Looks alright to me?

Bilstein B12 uses Eibach springs, which are what determines the ride height. The OP said they weren't happy with the way their car sat; hence my comment. I mentioned the ride quality (dampers) purely because I'm very happy with the kit, and I know there are a few people on here who find it too stiff (sensitive arses?).
