Ride height- Does this look normal?

So whats everyone's opinion on the car from BMW direct? Can PDC be retrofitted? Is there something that you guys could not live without that's missing from the car?

I'm thinking of offering £12750 inc my part ex and seeing if that gets accepted.

PDC can be retrofitted, it has been on my car prior to my purchase. I bought it from AUC and they were adamant it was factory fit but I could see it was not by the factory spec sheet. You cant tell by looking at the car though (unless you look really hard).

As for your offer, I think they should accept straight away. Check to see how many other people are interested / have viewed the car. I know with mine nobody else did. (I bought Feb last year AUC).

Also be ruthless on getting everything sorted for that price. Things like condensation in the fog lights, any chips, dings, scratches, leather should be in very good order and make sure they put a fresh MOT and check all the relevant areas.

Luton Specialist cars (where I did mine), did all the above, plus spent £1500 on new brake discs, tyres, glovebox, leather repair, etc, etc and I knocked them down 1500 off the asking price. It did take 2 months to complete the deal but all the time I kept my eyes open and looked at other cars.

If its what you want (everything bar PDC) then go for it. If it were me though, I would stick out for one with at least MFSW as well as its a common option (comes with PDC in the comfort pack which 60-70% of all coupes have).

If not wait and be patient, took me 4 months to find my one (I was very picky about spec) but Im so glad I did..

Gonna give my mate at Sytner a call tomorrow about this one: http://www.approved.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bmwauc/details/0,,1156___ask-7%40adm-xx,00.html?ch=_V0JBRFU1MjA3MExKNTAxOTY=

Hes a good lad and tells me straight from the worksheet what they've done to the car, and you may well be right about the bonnet not being closed on that pic.
Guess the search goes on again, I just want to buy a bloody car - been looking for a good month or so now!

Lovely interior, good spec, but WOW is that overpriced!

Yes do call him, I would say its worth £2k under the asking price.

Its shame you didnt get a chance to see this one: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=44567

Yeah he'll know its massively overpriced, and to be fair Sytner owe me a massive favour after something that happened last month.

Spotted this as well, does the panel gap look a bit odd on the nearside wing -> bonnet?

The one at Cooper looks like a reasonable deal, given the pricing, mileage and toys on some of the other BMW advertised cars.

Gonna see what Sytner will do for me on the black one, and if all else fails I'm gonna offer cooper £12500 to start with on their car - see where that gets me.

My PX is worth £12.5k private sale and they've only offered me £9.5k part ex, so I think there's a bit of room for maneuver somewhere.

If the black one is Lucy's then there shouldn't be any problems with it, it should have been repaired correctly and I can't see that Lucy would have accepted it back without it being 100%. From memory it was a pretty hefty insurance job, the posts will be on here somewhere, think it turned into one of the longer threads ever :D

I'm sure it would be fine, but knowing me it'll be at the back of my mind all the time!

Hmmm £3k for the one from Croydon or £5.8k changeover for the one from Sytner Oldbury.

Tough decision....

Agreed on the 'overpricing'

Mine was a few grand less than that with 12,500 miles on the clock last May (BMW AUC).

There's a lot of room for negoitation, especially this time of year.

They've asked for £5.8k for swap over and that value my 3 series @ £10k with no drop in price on theres.
What do we reckon a realistic price is on that?

Dont get too caught up with what they are giving you for yours and what you are getting for theirs. In your mind have a value for yours, a value for theirs and a cost to change.

Stick to that cost to change and dont budge!

I've been to look at that car at BMW Croydon as they also had a M Coupe there as well. They guy I dealt with was fairly helpful but a bit slow on getting back to me with a price on my car so in the end I decided against them and the car. The M Coupe was badly overpriced at almost £20K and they weren't going to move on the price... :(

Remember to be the customer and not get pushed around by them (that's how I felt anyway)!

I offered them £5k and my car but they say the best they can do is £5.8k

Might offer them £5250 but that's as high as I'm going.

Anyone recognise this? Mileage is a bit higher than I would like and its not AUC but they're willing to put a 12 month warranty on it from themselves, its got all the kit I want apart from heated seats (I'll just put up with a cold bum - and they're only useful for 6 months of the year anyway).

Erm... found this: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=491619&r=7237022&hm=66603
Same car... what does everyone think?

Have they had any other interest? If not then it maybe a case of holding on for a few weeks. They will not get the asking price or what they want for it so unless they want to say goodbye to a sale then you will be a happy man!
