Ride height- Does this look normal?

I'm considering buying this Z4C 3.0SI and the dealer has assured me it has the M Sport suspension, but the photos just look like the gap in the arches is way to big?
Opinions people please:

That's not right at all. Not even on standard springs is it that high, surely ??

Looks like a crossover Z - be careful of the dealer, I am not sure they know what they are talking about at all...

Yeah thats what I thought, just waiting for the dealer to call back - Doesn't even look like the photos were taken on crazy slope either....

Oh well the search for a decent 3.0SI with NAV that isn't priced as if its 2008 still continues.

You could negotiate a change of springs in the deal if the cars right for you in all other aspects :driving:

If you like it, don't walk away - go look and tell them you want the springs replay with OEM sports springs. If they argue, THEN walk away.

Edited - Darren got there first

Compared to this on (http://www.approved.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bmwauc/details/0,,1156___ask-4%40adm-xx,00.html?ch=_V0JBRFU1MjAwMExKNTAzMzI=), it looks like its has a lift!!

Tapatalking...

Lets see what they say when they call back, the car is really good apart from the ride height.
I just cannot fathom the reason why the front springs would have been changed - I can kind of understand the rear if they'd snapped.

It could have X5 springs on :D

The dealer should sort that regardless of any negotiations, it is plain wrong, probably still got the transportation blocks fitted.

Archive photos - Had transport blocks in

Getting some proper photos sent across - Didn't think it looked that bad in the flesh else I would have noticed.
Anyone think that price is fair with 1 years BMW warranty (It'll have a full service, just had two front tyres, and new disks/pads all round as well).

That's hilarious!! Looks like someone has done a 4X4 conversion! :headbang:

What are transport blocks :?

The hard plastic blocks used to elimination suspension travel during truck shipment, quite common for dealers to forget to take them out on BMWs it would seem.
