RHD LIGHTS TO LHD LIGHTS

can anyone tell me whether it's possible to adjust the standard headlights from RHD to LHD? My Z lives in Spain now so would like to rid it of the sticky things on the lense, if poss. Hopefully will be replacing with clear headlights sometime soon - but in the meantime.

Thanks.

The answer depends upon the annual testing requirements in Spain. If they accept a level beam pattern you'll be OK, but if they insist on a right 'flick' up, then a fail.

My instinct is to say OK, but in reality a check of the local regulations is the only certain validation.

I'd also like to know as my Z now live's in France, i have xenons, so there's a way to flatten the beam to not blind on coming drivers?
Thanks

Hi Oliver87. I live in France and my 2003 2.5l auto is fully immatrilicated. I just adjusted the beam so that it is flat. And my local test centre accepted that for the CT. Some stations are better than others. If you ask around locally you might find somebody will tell you which ones are more strict. On the halogen lamp you have to take off the rear cover and there is a lever to flatten the beam. just point it at a wall with the lights on and you will see it flatten as you move it.
Hope this helps

Hi W1ndsurfnut, that's good to hear ;) , i know my CT center very well and he would probably pass it anyway to be honest, but it's good to know that flattening the beam is sufficient  ! I just had a look under the bonnet quickly (under the Limousin rain) and looked like a night mare to get to the back of the headlights  ! So i'll have a better look on a sunny day ;) !
Thanks for your help

Thanks everyone for this info, will see what I can do after taking the back off and levelling the beam. The ITV (MOT) where I live is fairly relaxed and they'll be in awe of the Z. Usually test old Bangers and tractors.

You don't get at them from the top. You have to remove the cover in the wheel arch. It helps if you put the steering on full lock for one side, then switch it to do the other. If you get stuck pm me.
