Hi all
Sorry im new here but really need some help please.
I have a 2.2i Z4 2004, for the past few months it has been cutting out intermitantly. This can happen in 5th doing 70mph or not in gear, foot on break, stationary at lights. There is no consistancy. I have tried fuel change, filling right up and running down 50 miles left in the tank. Today i have had the throttle body cleaned after it was hunting seriously before eventually cutting out at the lights totally ( this is the first time that has happened).
Driving away from the garage ( after the throttle body was cleaned) and it happened again,the car stalled as i wasn't in gear and stationary. I took it back and the mechanic came with me for a spin, luckily the stalling (cutting out) happened when he was driving but the diagnostic machine didn't pick up anything. Its dangerous really as it cuts out and i loose everything.
I have lights come on as its stalls but then they go off and obviously if they dont stay on they cant be diagnosed!
I have had battery checked and terminals / leads etc.
Anyone had anything similar. Please help and this isnt me just 'being a girl'
