Review: M3 vs Z4MC

It's a tough call but I still like manual cars, the experience of dropping the clutch, fluffing the gears up occasional and revving at the lights without putting it into neutral just does it for me! I'm guessing the auto is quicker on acceleration?

The dealer said that all BMW's come with run flats including the M's (I didn't check the tyres though). I know the Z4M Coupe doesn't come with any. Was the guy mistaken?

Lee , didn't see you at chatsworth in April , presume you were in the same car park as me ie top end of the house and not in the tiv car park like once upon a time ? You may have seen the black mc in there but it was packed out that day !
Yes I parked in the top carpark saskia, I think I did notice your car, I was stood with a couple of friends & we saw a black Z4M Coupe & my mate said to me you should have purchased that version instead of the silly hairdresser model that you went with!

It was a great turn out of TVR's! :driving:

Yes the auto is 4.6 secs to 60 against 4.8 secs for the manual & obviously it shifts quicker than we could...but I am happy I went with the manual I am just a three pedal diehard. :driving:

TVR's do take some replacing & I miss mine loads...but I don't think the mrs would be that keen on me getting another!! :D

Just going back to the M3's; did BMW produced a facelift version like the Z4? What are the differences between a 57 plate and an 09 plate - any?

Not many changes tbh there was an updated Idrive system which mine has & you can tell its the later one by the controller the earlier models had a silver knob & the later idrive is black & has more buttons & also has a hard drive for your music & updated sat nav maps they look a little more modern.

Then from 2010 most have updated rear lights they also did the competition pack which included EDC as standard CSL lookalike wheels & slightly lowered suspension.

Cheers. :)
