Review - JML Magic Eraser Sponge - WOW

I bought this item after a few posts on here about how generally all round good it was on things like the steering wheel etc. Anyway, tried it today and OMG - WOW WOW WOW is all I can say. I didnt (sorry) do any before and after shots as i got carried away but will try and do some tomorrow when I do my steering wheel.

What does it do and where did I use it you may be thinking - well - i used it on my light sepang bronze leather seats. They were in excellent condition and clean (so i thought) - but were a tad on the shiney side, especially the drivers seat base.

So I cut a piece of the JML sponge, soaked it in ONLY WATER, rung it out and rubbed it over one area of the seat base and then wiped away the moisture/wet using a mirofibre cloth (1 section) - wow - the white sponge was lifting up with unseen dirt and the seats where going from shiney back to OEM MATT finish - wow wow wow - amazing!!!

I did the rest of the seats and tomorrow im going to do them again until the sponge stays white.

The great thing about the spongs (they come in blocks and you cut to size) is that apart from that - you can rinse them out (watch all the dirst come out!!) and use them again. However - you know when they are "running out" as they start to crumble a bit.

Literally amazing and cheap at around 4 quid a block

This is what the box looks like and you can buy them from ebay etc

Will post before/after pics of my steering wheel which will contain natural hand oils from usage which make them a tad shiney...

Cheers

Enjoy

I'll try it on my S-Max steering wheel first. 60k DD makes the wheel shiiiiny and I won't cry if it does something horrid to it :)

£4.99 on Amazon and free delivery

What a coincidence, I ordered one of these yesterday - If you want a 'proper' JML one rather than an unbranded Magic Sponge, they seem to be cheapest from JML direct - cheapest on eBay are £6.89 inc P&P, JML Direct have a free P&P offer at the moment so they're £4.99 (or £9.98 for a pack of 3) delivered

They are great - I had small a scratches on the plastic strip near the kick plates and its removed all of those

Nice one guys

I do feel like its stripping all of the lubricants into the componets tho and i dont want to cause any long term damage. I have read posts about it causing premature wear to leather for example. On my seats I applied gliptone leather care afterwards

I must have been on the happy juice 'cos I looked on Amazon yesterday and could only see them at the same price as fleaBay

At least they weren't £4.98 on Amazon or I'd have been cursing...

For those in the south, Robert Dyas sell them for £4.99 on their website so might be worth popping into their shop if your out and about.
