The Z I am looking at is up on a dealers website and has listed as one of the optional extras a reversing camera, now it has sat nav and PDC so I guess that is possible but I didnt know that was an option never heard of it else where, has the dealer made a mistake?

Its an after-market mod by the pervious owner i believe, not a factory option. Can't see why you world want it in a Z.

I was going to mod mine at some point for a front facing camera.

Means it has a TV module most likely, although it is possible without.

There is also an OEM rear camera too.

On the e85 if you have a tv module, you can get a plug in lead which allows input of external AV sources or reversing camera.

Then just buy a camera from somewhere, aplug in and your away.

Only downside, is that you will have to switch from nav or radio to your tv tuner to view.

If anyone is interested, I just so happen to have one of the leads i mention above, and would be happy to sell for £30

SO if it does have said TV module, does that mean id be able to watch TV on the sat nav screen? that would be a bit cool!

While I agree that a reversing camera is not really need on such a small car it is quite a cool little gimik, as would TV be

Yea - Thats the exact function I've got in mine. Recption on the TV is actually surprisingly good, and its a cool gadget to have.

Its also possibe to add other AV inputs through the TV tuner e.g. Xbox, or DVD player etc

That said, I've not used it much since owning the car. Other than to show off now and again :)

How will I know if the TV is is an option fitted on the Z I am going to look at with out having to ask, dont want to give the game away if they dont know it has it!

Have a look here: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=322002&highlight=camera

Without the tv module which costs £££ too!

The tv is cool especially if waiting for the lady while she does her shopping - but with the switchover to digital it will soon be unwanted weight in the car!

although there im sure using the av imput there would be a way of instaling some sort of Digital tv set top box and areal set up

post-2006 cars had a hybrid tuner anyway which does both

on ebay, search for "rocking horse poo"

Didnt know you could get a hybrid tuner - anyone have one and can comment on the quality of the digital reception?

There's one here.. I believe the signal on the analogue unit is a lot more consistent, especially if you mod it to work on the move.

At that price i could live without the tv and put it towards a nice set of wheels and a tv tuner for my laptop!

Always between £480 - £600 and probably only going to get more because of the switchover.
