Reversed into short post....

in a pub car park slight damage to back bumper. Thinking I might just fit post face lift bumper and lights but do i need a new bumper cross member as well? And how difficult is it to do?
 
Whip the bumper off and check for damage, you might have got away with it. Haven't done the rear bumper but the front was a doddle, apart from the clips holding it to the wing - felt a bit unnerving pulling it :s
 
My Missus left the handbrake off and rolled into the pillar between garage doors. Luckily it hit right on the bit you pull out to put the towing eye in. Could do with a bit of touching up but otherwise ok

That WAS lucky! :cry:
 
Well it did move the brick pillar off it's foundations which pushed the door frames back so that the doors wouldn't open. Two big RSJ's sit on the pillar which hold the garage and front canopy roof up so yeah was lucky really. Managed to push pillar straight with a trolley jack and a piece of 3x3. TBH it looked like a JCB had hit it!
 
Bumpers can be resilient things, I've had people go into the back of me and reversed into a post (in my early driving days lol) and they've popped back out and polished out. Hopefully it hasn't done any structural damage
