Reverse sensors not working

Recently I’ve noticed my parking sensors aren’t working. When selecting reverse, I don’t get a beep of any kind nor do I get any warning beeps when approaching an object.

Checked outside with the car in reverse, all four sensors clicking away nicely and evenly. Beeper also works as it beeps once when switching the car off and opening the door (no idea why it does, by the way- can anyone enlighten me on that?).

Are there any codes to look for when there’s an issue with the sensors/system? Other common issues to check?

Quick update:

After removing the rear bumper yesterday I’ve checked and cleaned the connectors on the rear sensors. All looked in decent order and I can still hear them clicking away when selecting reverse.

Warning beep for other items still works, so speaker is functional as well. Is there a specific sensor on the gear lever to trip the system when selecting reverse?

Not sure how the system is triggered, but do your reversing lights work?

Could be the PDC control module, which is located in the boot. A good code reader will pick up the fault.

Good question, yes they do (both sides)

Nice one, thanks! Any specific codes that would point to the module itself?

Not sure tbh but you should know it when you see it! I myself use INPA which makes it obvious what the codes refer to.
