Am I right in saying that a working reverse light isn't required by law in the UK? I can so no mention of it in the MOT guide link above, and google searching seems to bring up that it's not compulsory.
Just an idea I've had to have symmetrical rear lights but without going down the 4 clear spot route...
My idea:
start with standard rear light
red tint spray over clear reverse light spot and orange indicators = completely red rear lights
green LED indicator bulbs to flash orange through the red (still to confirm if this actually works like that)
remove reverse light as it'd shine red otherwise
No decison made on this as it might look shite and I'm unsure if losing the visual warning that a reverse light makes to other motorists is sensible, just thinking out loud at the moment!
