reverse / fog light mixed up!

bought tinted lights but looks like theyre american! didnt realise until I swapped them over and now, when i put it in reverse the fog light (red) comes on and the reverse light (white) comes on when i put put rear fog light on! :headbang:

is there anything i can do, or will i need to try and get my money back?

If the cabling is able to be amended, will it fail MOT for having the reverse/fog lights on wwrong sides?

just checked online, fog light has to be o/s. in short im gonna have to swap back to regular lamps :(
 
That's a tough lesson. Shame on the seller not letting oyu know up front unless of course you purchased them overseas.
 
CJ, have sent email to seller, hopefully will be decent enough to refund, as not fit for purpose. But , yeah, wont be happening again!
 
Just swap- bulbs surely should matter what side the light comes from there symmetrical, my old car had a fog both sides, so its not to do with blinding drivers
 
billygilly, the lamps are tinted 'regular' lamps so there are only white bulbs in the holders. i wouldnt mind too much about lights being wrong side round, but when i put it in reverse the red fog comes on (the plastic lens is red) and when i put fog light switch on, the white light (through the clear plastic lens) comes on. :thumbsdown:
