reupholstered seat

firstly remove seat from car safely

I removed the leather and the white is the heated part that I had to painstakingly remove from underneath the leather.

the blue is the foam I carved and used high temp adhesive to glue on as you can see I labelled the pieces in place

then used 3mm scrim foam which is stretchable and strong the grey material, 3rd pic

the faux suede is glued with the high temp adhesive onto the scrim foam, then pinned in place.

the actual stitching couldn't do so took it to a car upholster which cost £40 to stich up

sounds crazy but I did this just to see if I could do It, it looks odd as I haven't done the drivers side
but in all honesty looks slightly out of place in the car so going to get another leather oem passenger seat to replace with

kate has said its very comfy and and hugs you in place

that's a very kind offer jonny :)
but im getting a seat from matt.

im happy with the seat but it just doesn't look right in a two seater soft top I now prefer the look of the leather

in hind sight I should have bought the sports seats and be done with it, but I enjoy a hands on job
