It's been over 4 years since my wife exchanged her Z4 3.0 for a brand new 1 series convertible.
A week from today we will be taking delivery of her (almost new) Z4, an ex-demonstrator from our 'local' dealer. It's an sDrive 20iM (complete with inappropriate M badges). Just 2k miles on the clock and first registered at the start of this year, so a lot of warranty and free servicing left. Quite a few extras and a good chunk of money off the full list price was icing on the cake. A couple of weeks ago we had an extended drive in the new 2 series convertible and it just didn't excite us, although we were both impressed by the auto-box; the Z4 has the auto-box.
