How’s SWMBO getting on with entry /exit ?
Lorrain actually finds it easier to get in and out of than the M240i which surprised me, she did a few tests at different dealers before I bought it

Same here, we traded in the M240i in for a new red zed.

enjoy
How you finding your m40i? I am still getting used to mine, the interior is such an improvement from the rather bland M240i. The only thing I have noticed is that the mapping is different as there is quite a noticable jump in performance feel from comfort to sport mode on the M40i compared to the M240i. Apart from that I am really loving it as it ticks a lot of my boxes :D

Swiftly, this looks beautiful. Congratulations on the new car! I saw the brand new Z4 this week for the first time whilst I was on a walk, and it was lovely! It was the first time I saw one, had not even seen a picture of one. How is it driving? It has been a while since I had my 04 Roadster, I must say, that I have been thinking about getting another! :driving:
Hi to you and everyone else too, I hope all is well!

Hi, it's well worth having a test drive in one to see if it is for you! I'm loving mine so far, but an E85, 3 litre it is not in so many ways, times move on I guess so it really all depends on what you are looking for in a roadster. For me the new Z4 ticked a lot of my boxes I had on my list, plus I got a car with a 3 litre engine thats loaded with tech for reasonable money. Once I've run it in, I can't wait to open it up to the red line to see exactly how well it really goes. :driving:

Nice choice! How do you find it in comparison to the M240i?

I've found them to be very different cars to drive even tho same engine. For me the Z is a much better cruiser and seems to hold the road a lot better. The 2 possibly feels a bit edgier when you push on but the Z is (marginally) the faster.

The 2 was certainly a bit more edgier, what I did notice was the difference in performance when switching between comfort and sport modes which appears less noticeable in the 2 than the Z, this I put down to different mapping characteristics. The ride certainly feels more planted in the Z, and on long journeys is certainly a nicer place to be in than the 2 that is for sure. Only complaint I have is that I wish I could turn down the fake noise a notch or two as it gets to be a bit annoying when the roof is up, not an issue when it is down.

I like Sandal Huddersfield. I used to work near Wakefield so had my Z there. But now I live further away, Huddersfield is nicer to get to. Sandal have always been spot on for me over the years, and the nearly new car I bought from Huddersfield a few years back has been absolutely faultless

I was looking at a few Zs there earlier in the month. I don't think I saw yours there though.

The shape is definitely growing on me. If they drive ok I'm thinking I might get one at 3yrs ish on AUC... then I can at least tweak things to suit.

I think they still had another red very low mileage M40i with same spec for sale when I collected mine on 28 Sept. Sandal were very easy to deal with, I was very impressed with the dealership.

Hi Nick,

Just seen this - that looks fabulous - Fifth Gear just gave a very favourable review of this model against others - nice choice

All the best with it
