Returning to a zed

Swiftly

So I’ve traded in my M240i and come back in the fold as they say, and have gone and bought myself a Z4 M40i in San Francisco Red with comfort, technology and visibility packages, so plenty of toys to keep me entertained. The car was registered at the end of March and had only 18 miles on the clock, so like new plus about 14K off original price due to initial depreciation. With the September dealer offers that are currently available, and the dealers asking price for the car, I was able to negotiate myself a really good deal which was really just too good to ignore. So with deal done I drove 225 miles this morning to pick it up from the dealers, and I have to say it ticks all my boxes and will do nicely as my daily driver. I only managed to grab a few photos due to the excitement, but promise more will follow in due course after the its had a good wash.

It looks great in that colour.

Welcome back, and enjoy. :driving:

Welcome back to the fold Swifty. Not that you ever really left.

Scorching new Zed you got there.

I remember the launch advert with a red G29 negotiating that maze, thought it looked the business in red
Congrats Nick :driving:

Thanks Marlon, I would have loved a black one but even with my level of OCD, I would have struggled with it as a daily driver to keep it looking clean  , so red was the only other colour that I really liked out of the limited colour pallet BMW currently offer for the Z4.

Nice to see you back, I'm a recent returner to the zed world after brief forays into BMW 4 series and Porsche, I'm so glad to be back.

Enjoy the new car, sounds like a cracking good deal!

Very nice.

Must admit I’m getting very tempted in one of these.

My local dealer has a couple in (delivery miles) for around £38k.

How’s SWMBO getting on with entry /exit ?
Lorrain actually finds it easier to get in and out of than the M240i which surprised me, she did a few tests at different dealers before I bought it

Knew it would'nt be too long before you returned to a Zed.

I know, just took me a while to realise it  . It's been a long time since a car has given me a big grin when driving

There are some really good deals to be had if you can get the timing right. For me the car had to have the 3 main packages, comfort, visibility and technology.

Congrats! We’re car twins now.
I currently have 154 miles on the clock and I’m desperate to get it run in so I can enjoy it more!!

Welcome back, although you didn’t really leave :D :)
