Retrofit Sport button

Afternoon all,

After some browsing around last night, I found that a sport button could be retrofitted providing the cable was present. I had a feel around under the tray and pulled this thing out:

So my question for any that have done this, is it simply a case of buying the part for the button, drilling the hole, plugging it in and away you go?

Any tips/hints from those who have done it are greatly received. It's a 2004 2.2i if that makes a difference.

Cheers!

Not really! If you want heavier steering that can be coded. I find the throttle map with sport on is horrible.

Recently I have been driving without using the Sport button. This was prompted by a discussion with Steve84n; previously I had Sport mode on all the time but I'm pleasantly surprised at how I'm enjoying the driving experience without it :driving:

Thanks all.

The steering is the only reason I wanted it, so if that can be coded rather than drilling my dash then I am all for that option!

Edit: I do have the manual. If I had an auto, this would be a no brainer for me.
