Retrofit servotronic

This is listed as a retrofit.
Is this to do with the steering.
Looks a bit cloak and daggers with regard the e-mail stuff.

Just wish the steering was a bit lighter and more responsive, a bit truck like, seems dumbed down a bit.

Have been told its bit of a BMW tradmark, whats up they don't want customers over controlling the car, or just masks some other imperfection.
 
Not sure about retrofitting, maybe pricey. Not sure what you know of it but it weights the steering wheel depending on speed, you only have to turn the wheel 1 and a half times on full lock when doing usually under 10 mph. It's not a bad set up, you'd need a new steering rack and possibly some adjustment to the steering column.

I've got it and had it in my last car. Steering rack in the E88 had to be replaced at 1200 miles because it was faulty but once replaced caused no further issues.

As I've not driven a Z4 without it I can't actually tell you if it makes much of a difference to be honest.
