Retrofit Rear Parking Sensors

Hello

Very new to Z4s and debating buying a e86 but it doesn't have rear parking sensors and with the vision out the back, I think I'd like it for peace of mind.

Can this be easily retrofit?

I can see parts online for this and hope that the e85 rear bumper is also the same for the e86?

Tried doing a search on the site but couldn't find any guides.

Much appreciated.

See this https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=121945&hilit=vodafone for pics of my retrofit. Get a decent kit and avoid some the cr@p on ebay. I used Vodafone kit.

Is it possible to do a full oem retrofit, even if the Vodafone kit is better? I prefer the aesthetic of the oem kit even if it's not as good.

I bought the cobra flush fit ones now vodaphone for my wife’s car 7 years ago, very good and still working perfectly. I would buy them for mine but don’t need them on the Zed.

The e85 (post-LCI) and e86 rear bumper is the same.
There is an OEM retrofit kit.
I’ve not done it myself, but it’s unlikely to be difficult.
In my experience the e86 was really easy to reverse park without PDC due to the short back end, however I understand why you’d want the comfort.

Bought a 2011 Mini Cooper S advertised with front and rear parking sensors. Both front and rear bumpers had OEM sensors ddint take much notice more interested in car(first mini) got everythig I wanted so bought it.
Found out after it had been retrofitted. Very small display on front parcel shelf and similar fixed to middle of rear roof.
5 indicator lights so more lights on as you got closer. Also audile bleeper that got faster as you got closer- but could be turned off. Worked fine altough with mini not really needed. Worked fine and looked original wasn't just me RAC inspector enginner also didn't spot it. Company did kits for lpts of cars - so yes sure it will be possible but maybe not with display on I drive screen.
