This is more than likely covered multiple times but i just couldnt find anything.

Is it a straight swap, switching hockey stick headlights for the facelift ones or is there some fiddly work involved?

What do you mean swapping hockey stick headlights for facelift......both have hockey sticks, pre facelift amber and facelift clear.
Or do you mean changing your amber hockeys to clear?

Yeah Jonny exactly that! Once Third break and indicators are cleared it makes sense (and i think looks better) to switch to the clear hockey sticks.

I actually don't think it is?

I'm sure I heard there is some wiring to be done between pre and facelift lights.

Not for Halogens... yes for Xenon

I don't think I will switch to Xenon until after I've switched out the lights so that works for me, cheers guys

That sounds mighty expensive! Do you mean a HID kit? If not, and you're going down the genuine Xenon route then why bother with a facelift halogen intermediate?

Check the LED thread [ur=http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73991l]here[/url], some interesting links on the use of HID kits, as well as LED headlights...

Cheers Markeg!

i have retrofitted facelift xenons but had pre-facelift xenons before. Not a straight swap and you will either have to replace the LCM or if you have sat nav get an intravee to get the lights to work correctly.
