Retrofit? (cruise, ipod connection, phone)

Just viewed a potential purchase and the only things I'd like that are missing are the above.

How easy (if at all) is it to retrofit cruise control. I've had it retrofitted to a couple of Audis and that was a piece of cake, hoping it's that easy!!!

What are the options for ipod/bluetooth streaming connections...I'd rather that than just a plug in cable aux input.

Finally, it had Nav but no phone. Retrofittable? Or is aftermarket the way to go that can do phone/media?

I'll have a search of the web/forum but any direct testimony and experience would be gratefully received.

I have fitted an after market radio (Pioneer from Halfords) with built in Bluetooth, works great with the iPhone and also plays my iphone music through the Bluetooth a treat. So for under £100 this then ticks two of your "must haves"

depends what year you buy, prior to oct2004 (i think no doubt corrected if wrong) its a plug and play all you need is the stalk and then cut where bmw have left a nice guide line on the cover, for other years you need the loom and there are some excellent guides on here.

I fitted an aftermarket MediaBridge. It adds iPhone/iPod connectivity via USB and Bluetooth, provides a bluetooth mic and an aux in socket. Essentially sorted out for music and bluetooth now - not completely integrated with the car but all controllable from the phone which works nicely for me.
