Retrofit Cruise Control

I think BMW stopped fitting the full loom in 2004 so your car won't have it.

But forum member "srhutch" can supply the section of wiring you'll need for some beer money!

I've no idea what the white connector is for though.

I see I can still get the BMW retrofit wiring kit for this. I had a look at the manual and one of the last steps of installation says: "Encode/Program the retrofit with SSS (software service station) via the Retrofit/CIP path". I assume it will not work without coding...

It should not require. Best person to contact is SRhutch as above. He can sell you his own wiring kit for less and with better instructions.

I am also thinking about fitting cruise control to my 2006 2.5si, I’ve had the car 16 years but have only found out recently it can be retrofitted!
Does anyone know if srhutch is still on here? I sent him a message about supplying me a wiring loom but the message is still in my outbox.

I fitted the cruise control stalk and wiring to my 2006 2.5si this morning, everything went smoothly thanks to info on here and the instructions srhutch supplied with the loom. It’s a shame there’s no indication on the dash to show it’s activated but not a big deal.

Hi guys, I’m new to the forum, registered to find info on the cc retrofit. Love reading historical prices of the cc stalks, from €68 around 2010, up to the current 200-300 :) anyway, i’m attempting to retrofit it this weekend, without a prefab wiring loom.
