retro fit M bumper undertray extension made

I had the M bumper fitted a few months back & never really went anywhere far with it due to a gaping hole between the original undertray & the M bumper.
I originaly priced up the M undertray, but left it at the time as I couldnt afford it. Im sure it was well over £100 at the time, and that was with some discount

Anyway I decided Id make an undertray extension instead to save cost. well I can say it cost me £30 for materials & ive got plenty of spare too for other projects!

I sourced some 2mm thick plastic sheet from ebay for just under £30 & cut it roughly to the size of the hole.
I then lined the flat edge with where I wanted it to sit against the original undertray & marked where the screw holes would be & drilled holes.
I then bolted the undertray to the car & by removing the kidney grills I marked where the extension meets the bumper (this can be seen by the lower line on the masking tape)
I then followed the line 20mm further out to mark where it needed cutting (this is the top line on the masking tape)

a quick score with a stanley knife & a snap of the plastic & it takes shape

I then fitted it in place & marked out the 3 screw holes that attach it to the front bumper, drilled them & fitted it

unfortunately its not the best picture on the car as it was dark this evening when I was doing it, but you get the idea.
Ive still got the front screws to fit, but im ordering some rubber from ebay to stop them marking the paint to much.
once the screws are in I will be heating the extension up to flatten it out as currently its slightly bowed
