Ok been searching but can't find anything to guide me here, so please let me pick your brains

I have seats with heating eliments, i've just bought the centre console button bit and the wiring loom. Now i need a lego style guide to how the feck i turn this lot into heated seats! :scratchhead:

has anyone else done this?

Oh - were they the one's on Ebay that were kicking around earlier in the week?

Never fitted them myself but it's going to be a simple question of removing the old console panel and switches and then working the loom down the console to the floor, under the carpet and emerging at the seat base with the existing harness.

I'd start with the button end and look for the existing loom and where your harness connects in for power. I'd them pull the seats out but remember you must keep the battery disconnected all the time the loom is off the seats else the passneger side on will trip the airbag sensor and require a dealer trip. The heated seats plug into the large connector that groups all the seats elements that require power. IIRC the heat pads are 3 small black leads.

I can send you a pdf on retrofit seat ventilation that shows the harness route. PM me an email address

Thanks i took your advice on the battery the first time i put the seats in!

Yes they are the ones of ebay and the chap has just told me he has the fitting instructions from BMW and will pop them in the parcel - RESULT!
