Plate changed are easy. Fill the online form in online and it the v778 will be back with you within a week.

If you want to add a nominee do that once it's back and this is free and again will be processed very quickly.

From taking my plate off and giving it to someone else took 20mins web time, 10 mins including posting once back and about 10 days in time and £80 of course.

Yes, it really is this simple and painless.

I've just done it with my Coupe.

Just shows that Govt departments don't all have to be a PITA to deal with.

got my new V5 today ............. but no retention certificate presumably that will follow in a few days ?

Retention certificate arrived today - that's less than 2 weeks from start to finish

I did it online Sat Pm , new logbook landed yesterday , retention cert today , pretty swift by comparison to previous changes
Now sent the retention cert off to assign the private no to the Z , they should receive that tomorrow so lets see how long before i can do the switch :wink:

That would depend on if the number is already on retention or if still on a car ?
It should be described in listing if included or not
