Restaurants in York City Centre

I think this may be a long shot but I was wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations on a good restaurant in the centre of York?

Im taking my girlfriend there for 2 nights for Valentines day  going on Friday the 14th hence the need to book early for that night!

I'm after somewhere nice and romantic, but not overly expensive (under £100 inc drinks if poss), my girlfriends favourite cuisine is Italian but she isn't a fussy eater and she will try most things, however she cannot stand sea food!

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

What a lovely boyfriend you are!
Afraid I can't help though with a suggestion as I went to NY about 15 years ago and stayed in a dodgy student hostel, eating pizza slices mainly.
Hope someone on here can help.

Edit: I read New York  ! I'm sure York is also very lovely!

Wrong country to start with Ruby :poke:

Ha Ruby, he is not that good a BF! It's York England :poke:

Back on subject try http://www.delriosrestaurant.com it's a nice upmarket Italian with some private cosy tables, you won't be disappointed. :D

L' antica Locanda at 33 The shambles is also good. We went there just after Christmas. It's a couple of tripadvisor ratings down from Delrios.
