reprogramming keys.

is this a main dealer job only?

im guessing my key has been re-programmed at some stage of it's life, as i can drop the roof by holding the top button.

but, the boot open button doesn't do anything.

can anyone do this or do i need to pay extortionate prices from sytner for it?

The boot open button should work irrespective - I think it is a standard function. Dropping the top using the top button is coded I believe. Perhaps you have a knackered button ? You do have to hold the boot button for a sec or two for it to open.

hmmm... i remember the guy telling me it doesn't work, but the one on the spare key does (but needed charging up).

sods law that now i want to try and use it on the other key (got lock covers on), i can't find the key anywhere :x

Speak to srhutch - things like comfort opening of the windows to allow ease of access in tight spaces for example. Remember you can use the button it he cabin to open the boot too. Bit of a pain, but still...
