Not affiliated with the seller, but I have bought one of their other products and can attest to the quality. Given the demand for these products, thought it important to share with this board as it's been talked about on ZPost a bit.

Skyer Motorsports has supported the E85/86 chassis quite a bit in recent years with CF spoilers, skirts, rad covers, etc. (with more in development apparently). They've just started a group buy/pre-sale for their replica side top covers. Not an exact copy of OEM, but will do the job and depending on your exterior colour, paint-matching this might look really good.

Years ago I sold him my OEM side covers, which I believe were eventually used to scan and make these.

Not at that price

Exactly my thoughts

I have an OEM set but was curious to see what price they went with.... I appreciate it would have cost a lot to develop and test etc, but it’s still pretty high :poke:

I’m sure they will sell though as some people REALLY want them

If you open then link, it looks like they used to cost 319 dollars and now are at "just 249 dollars". It's awesome how a product that just got on the market, used to be more expensive

Think that's a special pre-order price rather than an 'it used to cost' price. Either way at the discounted rate or the full price it's still crazy expensive for some pretty pointless covers (IMO of course!).

The latches secure under the roof frame mechanism. The originals have flexible plastic latches designed to unhitch and allow the cover to pop off if someone raises the roof with the covers on. These seem to have alloy catches, so I'd be worried about damage being caused to the frame in these circumstances. Originals are covered in soft-touch dash/interior material but these look a bit crap for silly money

They have a video on their Facebook page showing these pop off without damage. It doesn't look very elegant, mind

True, maybe they could have fitted some string to save picking them up at the traffic lights

I was keeping an eye open for these as I have one of their spoilers and the quality’s great, “was” being the key word... I get the design costs etc but surely someone’s missing a trick given the interest they generate.

I wonder if side covers generally fetch more in the US, I thought they were pricey enough in the UK :?
