Replacing Z4 roof Motor.

This is a quick thank-you to the member who showed how to replace and reposition the roof motor; it took about 3 hours (nothing's easy when dealing with rust & water) but we succeeded and after putting in the new, refurbished motor, it works. Bearing in mind that the garage that I normally use, point-blank refused to get involved, I'd urge anybody with any doubts to 'give it a go'. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on sorting your roof motor yourself.

The power of the forum once again, but we do like to see photos of new members' cars!

Hi, I tried to separate my motor from the hydraulics but. Instead of just the motor I ended up with a bit more. A few small pins, a round metal disc. Any advice?

Hi and welcome.
You only need to ask the question once :)
