I replaced my valve cover, oil cooler, oil filter housing and valvetronic gaskets earlier in the year. The valvetronic filter seems troublesome. I’ve already replaced it once, but the replacement is leaking. Should the small tab on the gasket be at the top or bottom, facing into the valve cover or out. I’ve looked at numerous YouTube vids and can’t see how it fits. Both times, it looks like it’s torn on the tab. Currently the tab is facing outward on the top, but it looked like the was a rebate on face of the mounting plate so had it initially facing inwards.
