Replacing some bulbs with LEDs

I want to change out some bulbs (some busted ones) to LEDs, and I was wondering if it would set off the burnt out light indicator on the dash. The ones I want to switch with LEDs are minor bulbs, like the trunk compartment one as well as the rear license plate lights. Will changing either of these to LEDs cause the indicator to go off on the dash?

On the same note, I want to ask if the interior lights can be changed to LEDs with no ill effects. I'm guessing the dash only comes on for lights on the outside and after further research it seems the license bulbs are monitored. So that leaves me asking if the trunk is monitored and if the interior lights are monitored, both map and center.

Sorry if it seems like I'm just thinking out loud here but it seems according to the manual that only the exterior lights are monitored by the indicator on the dash. This leaves me wondering why there are many canbus error free LEDs being sold for the interior. For example, here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-X-BMW-Z4-E85-E86-LED-Lights-Interior-Package-Kit-2003-2008-/181325691993?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AZ4%7CYear%3A2003&hash=item2a37da7c59&vxp=mtr

You can change the interior ones with any led ones no problems.

The sidelights need canbus ones.
