Replacing run-flats

I did consider the 452's then I got a deal on the vreds £434 delivered so I went for that option.
The vreds do come out in the tyre reviews as being better in many respects. Nobody seems to have a bad word to say about them either on this forum or elsware.

I do have them (vreds) on an A4 Quattro and they have done their job on that car!

Its worth doing a search on here "Tyre Choice" you'll be amazed!

I'll give my guy to the weekend to come up with the 452's and if nothing then take a view on the v'reds.

As I've got 5.5mm on my shite bridgestones I'm loathed to pay anymore than £400-£450 all in.

Fitted my Vreds today. All I can say is I felt like I was driving a different car! So much more comfortable and felt a lot more responsive and less like I had to fight with the wheels to turn. I also went down a road which was terrible for tramlining with the Bridgestones and found it a lot easier.

Just had a full set of Falken FK452's fitted. £408 all in :). Ordered tyres from camskill who have them on offer at the mo. I would say I was suprised at the massive difference between runflats and non runflats. But I made the same change on my last Z4 so I knew what to expect. The ride is so much more pleasant, even my gf noticed it last night driving down our road. It just doesn't crash around as much anymore.

I think I've ordered 4 x 452's for £425 fitted/balanced, but still waiting for the call to say in stock.

Have I done the right thing or should I have gone for the v'reds??

is their much difference in wear or comfort? This is mainly a comfort thing for me having been used to driving living room sofas for far too long!

Despite the price my Falkens have been excellent, the suggestion is generally that the Vred wears better, the Falken lacks some sidewall kerb protection (if you can't park), the Falken may stick a little better in the dry and I can vouch for the real world performance benefits of having a tyre that isn't trying to punt you in to the ditch on uneven surfaces. I doubt there is much in it.

Glad you like them! You seem to be running them at quite a high pressure though - how are you finding them? I just have them at standard but was planning to increase the pressure slightly as mentioned in this post.

Yeah, just read that link and although they're running fine I not sure so sure now. I'm more inclined to go with the tyre manufacturer though than someone who just says 'that's way too high'. But, now that PawnSacrifice has phoned Vredestein and they say that the web site pressures are the maximums but they should be higher than OEM, I think I might drop them to a couple over OEM. Difficult to judge really till you see tyre wear.

I think I'll run 2.4 front and 2.8 rear which is OEM +0.1 or (+2psi)
