Welcome to the forum. What makes them think it needs new hydraulic lines? And which one? There are 4. '13' and '14' run from the motor across to the other side. '11' and '12' are shorter and run to the same side as the motor. Not all will have failed.zx10 said:I just had a new motor put in, the roof worked well that day, I hadnt used it in 2 weeks and now it doesnt work.
I brought it to the shop and was told I need hydraulic lines. Can anyone help me with finding the correct parts and where to buy.
Much appreciated![]()
OK, that's fair enough and answers all the doubts I had. (Although, with no fluid, the motor should still spin the pump?)zx10 said:Thanks for the welcome,
The mechanic just said the fluid leaked out and left a puddle so I dont know what line, he also said he refilled the fluid and the roof worked but then the fluid leaked out. Are they that expensive that replacing all would hurt?
The motor was relocated to the trunk.
The motor doesnt run at all. It did a few weeks ago.
I much appreciate your help, I think the mechanic is good, but not sure how much effort it would take for the complete diagnosis, so he said the lines also given that the puddle under the car. I will check what side
I wouldn't recommend it. There would be so much free line that you'd run the risk of it fouling on the roof or kinking. And trying to cable tie it all out of the way would be a nightmare. Plus the short ones would be cheaper.Jas- USA said:I'm guessing you'd be ok with a long line on the driver's side.
