Replacing my Vanos oil seals tomorrow - Need Advice

I have bought all the kit i need to replace the vanos oil seals and i have taken the day off work. I have managed to obtain almost everything i need with the exception of a low enough rated torque wrench (may use the old fashioned technique of guaging it myself based on how tight it was coming off) and some RTV sealant. I bought some Hylotyte Red which is a Semi Hardening gasket and jointing compound rated to 250c, can anyone advise me if this is suitable or should i drive somewhere to get some RTV sealant.

Thanks in advance.

Bob.

I finished this ages ago but for info I decided to use an RTV sealant in the end, i bought some from my local AA Components. Better to use the right stuff than to always wonder in my opinion.

Replacing the seal was a hell of a stressful job thanks to my own stupidity, at least i dont have to think about vanos oil seals ever again.
