I am fitting a new phone cradle holder in the Z4M, has anyone done this? The braided cable (containing the 18 pin connector and aerial) diasppears into the boot area through a small opening near the eject box hinges, (see picture). It appears the plugs can be accessed from the drivers side stroage bin, (RHD) behind the seat. Do I need to remove the rear centre console trim also to retrieve the wires after poking them through? I thought I'd see them from the boot but it's not obvious, well not when I looked anyway!! TIA.

FYI. Can't access plugs from boot area, I removed the rear centre console trim, then the shelves from the centre glove box. The wires can be easily accessed when all this is removed. Both plugs are easily accessed behind the drivers (RHD) stroage bin or subwoofer.

Thanks for reporting how to do it, you must be the first as no one here was able to help! Well done!

There is no way to "pull" thru the new cables when doing thing this install?

Thinking to unhook (open) the connectors and feed thru a pulling cable and then using this to pull thru the new eject box cables (with the big 18-pin connector disassembled) to the speaker compartment. Seems a (maybe unnecessary) project to tear down the whole console... maybe I'm wrong.
