Replacing drop links

I'm in the process of replacing drop links in my e86 Z4. I managed to remove the old ones by gripping the bolt with adjustable wrench on one side and unscrewing with spanner on the other as the whole thing was spinning and there was no Allen key hole in the bolt to hold it.
The new item (Lemforder 17981 02) is identical, you have to use another wrench to hold the bolt in place. The problem is that wrench is too thick and I can't tighten it enough while holding the other wrench and if I take it out, it will just keep spinning. How am I supposed to do it?
In all videos that I watched, they either use Allen key or they just tighten them without it spinning.

If you push downwards (as it were looking at the pic) with the spanner, the boot will get out of the way so you can hold it. Several designs do it this way and I've never had a problem either putting them on or taking them off with a standard spanner.

I ended up buying cheap extra slim (3mm) spanner set and it worked fine.

That worked with the old ones but not the new ones, see photo:
