Replacement wing mirror glass.

My O/S wing mirror wasn't heating up, so I went to have a look to see what the problem was and I broke it :(

In fairness it was a cheap ebay one so not a big deal.

Problem is, i've looked on ebay for a replacement and the ones i've seen have the connectors on the left side, whereas they need to be in the blind spot bit on the right side.

Anyone know where I can get the correct one? Not enjoying driving without a drivers side mirror. Hardtop completely blocks my blind spot.
 
i bought this one for my drivers side other week was spot on including heating

I did look at that one but in the description the image is different and it says the heater connectors are in the wrong place compared to mine.

Very confused here :lol: does the z4 have 2 different mirror glasses depending on which model/year it is?
 
the one i bought in that link for the drivers side had heating connector in the right place :shrug:
 
That's odd. It even says in the description that the heater connectors are on the wrong side.

Might buy it anyway and see if I can fit them on.
 
If you buy the one from ebay, make sure you buy one with the backing plate.

I bought mine from them without the backing plate and it didn't fit (their solution was to modify my existing backing plate)
 
Yeah i'm going for the backing plate aswell, just can't find one with the correctly placed electrical connectors.
