Replacement wheel centres (photos - ebay specials)

I needed replacement wheel centres: my originals were just a bit tatty, plus I wanted a set for my winter wheels rather than swap them over each time.

Genuine BMW centres are £34 or so online, so I took a punt on a set of non-OEM replacements for £10 from HERE. As ebay is a bit of a minefield when it comes to the quality of some items, I think I've got lucky with these ones. Hopefully the photos below will show folk what a decent set of non-OEM wheel centres look like.

Unfortunately the first set went AWOL in the post, but the seller sent another set out very promptly with absolutely no quibbles whatsoever

Obviously they don't have quite the same quality as the OEMs, and I've no idea how they'll last, but for the price of a fish supper and a pint I'm happy

(no photos of them on the car yet - its in the garage and it's utterly lashing down outside...)

edit to fix the link I ballsed up...

I have some that look like that on my winter wheels and they have held up now for 7 winters. I replaced them this past winter just because they were looking faded.

i got the updated wheel caps from bmw that are like the second set design for abot £16 if i remember correctly

For £10 I think it might be worth a punt too. I've just measured my centre caps and it looks closer to 65mm though. I'm sure I can make them fit... :D

Think you got lucky! I've found the newer style genuine BMW ones on ebay for £36 at cheapest.

I would be very surprised that you got 4 for £16 as I have never seen them anywhere near that (each perhaps ...)

Hi
Have you fitted them to the wheels yet? Im interested as I bought a similar set on ebay(not this seller) and they didnt fit. Theyt were the right size but just kept popping out.
Interested to see how they fit
Russ

I sent a link to this thread to the ebay seller (maxautos2010) and he's made this offer:

"thank you very much for your comments on the forum , and we are very glad that you are happy with our product.

if you want to do a group buy for your forum say for instance 20 sets, then we can give you guys a good discount of about 20% of the whole order, as long as we were only delivering to 1 address.

let me know if your guys are interested.
thanks once again."

I'm sorted with my set, but if someone else wants to organise a group buy then fire ahead :D

Yes, fitted in quite tightly but a very very slight rattle, i.e. you can move it a fraction, but not enough movement for them to pop out. I've put some dobs of clear silicone sealant on the tabs that hold them in to give a bit more purchase. Waiting for it to dry before popping them back into the wheels.

a11y, i have the same in my new alloys and im really happy with em. full set for less than price of one oem off bmw. thought they were good quality too

What about the little ///M stickers that go on your wheels? Is this BMW only or any experiences from eBAY?
