Replacement headlights

Worth a try!
I'm gonna give one of my suppliers a ring this afternoon and see if they can get hold of some OEM ones for you at a decent price.

Will let you know the outcome.

I only need passenger side. The drivers side is immaculate. But thanks that would be great.

well mine have turned up, quality looks really good and there is what appears to be a switch on them to change between LHD and RHD but there's no bloody instructions so I have no idea how it works.

Have sent a message to Amazon so will see how I get on with them and report back, hoping I don't have to return them as they do look really good in person, actually quite a bit better than the OEM lights in my opinion

Fitted pictures, and some feedback on the fit would be cool. Glad they look ok. The switch will be manual in the back of the unit at a guess.

As for the quality of the OEM, they are shocking, so I don't worry about the standard of these. How BMW can get away with such a well known, common fault is beyond me. Virtually every front light fitting gets condensation on the Zed. I might suggest these fittings to the water board, for the next hose pipe ban we have. A very simple solution is in our headlights

Just had a closer look at the ones I ordered and they are Sonar branded and looking at the code on the front of the headlights they are exactly the same model that 2xcite are selling

Hi All,
I'm in a sticky situation, my drivers side light is damage and I need to order a new. I can't find a clear headlight in the UK, without it being damage. However, I can find one from the USA and wonder if you can get headlamp adjustment for the uk?
Cheers

USA beam pattern is completely flat, so no kick to it at all.

RHD headlamps have a kick to the left.
LHD headlamps have a kick to the right.
USA headlamps are like having the worst of RHD and LHD combined.

So what would you recommend doing, go to the stealers?

Basically, make sure its RHD. If not, it needs to have an adjuster switch on it. Not many have. Its a bit of a s**t situation really, and the stealers have us by the balls.

Have you fitted these now, and have you got any pictures and feedback? Im going to purchase the same as yours or the black ones.

Did you speak to the suppliers at all Al? Think I'm going to take a punt on some black copies next week. Sick to the back teeth now. Just bought new covers and seals but "the mist still persists" :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Hi Ged,

Sorry for the delays. I didn't get anything back from the supplier. One of the OE Manufacturers must make these for BMW, But unfortunately with lesser sold cars like the Z4, they don't always release an OEM aftermarket version.

I sent mine back after my car was written off

Look closely at all the photos of all the aftermarket headlights....

They are all Sonar branded... (same as the 2xcite) Sold under loads of different brands but basically all the same headlight look close at the corner of the lens
